Tony and Friends in Kellogg’s Land
Tony and Friends in Kellogg's Land is a platform game that was developed by Factor 5 for Rauser Advertainment, and released on the Commodore Amiga and MS-DOS operating system in 1994 only in Germany; as the name suggests, it is a promotional game for Kellogg Company cereals, and stars Tony the Tiger, Dig 'Em Frog (but he's only referred to as 'Smacks' throughout it), Coco the Monkey and Toucan Sam (Chocos the Bear will also appear to give them advice in German, when they jump up and hit their heads on the underside of the Super Mario Bros.-style question blocks which can be found throughout each level). The Amiga version is also infamous for being unplayable on the A500, as the screen would just go black after the map screen showing Tony's starting point had faded out - and the exact same thing will happen when playing the game on WinUAE, if it is emulating an A500. This meant it was necessary to have an A1200 or higher, in order to play it at the time of its release.
Although this game was originally only released in Germany, it can be played without understanding the German language; it has also since been made available to the rest of the world via the Internet. Another Kellogg's-themed game, entitled Mission Kellogg's (which featured Snap, Crackle and Pop, and also had Cornelius Chicken taking Chocos's role) was also released worldwide on the Windows 98 operating system in 1999 - but in the United Kingdom it was retitled 'Kellogg's Mission Nutrition'.
